Summer camps at the Y focus on nurturing the potential of children and helping them grow in spirit, mind and body. We encourage fun and friendship and provide the opportunity for young people to build self-esteem, develop interpersonal skills and make lasting memories. Plus, our highly qualified staff receive over 40 hours of preparation prior to interacting with campers and are CPR certified.
Our programs reinforce 40 key Developmental Assets that help young people successfully meet life’s challenges. Summer camp specifically focuses on the following assets: positive adult role models, other adult relationships, creative activities, positive values and conflict resolution. Rave reviews from last year’s camp parents.
Friendly staff, well organized, great cost, variety of activities, my kids LOVED it!
This is our first summer participating but will certainly not be our last. Excellent program!
The camps are great, the staff are phenomenal, and my daughter really enjoys herself.
When my child doesn’t wanna leave, it’s a beautiful thing.
My son enjoys camp so much, and that so many kids from our school and church attend...I think that says a lot about what the community thinks of the YMCA.
