Mark Battig

Executive Director

Mark has served the YMCA for 15 years, beginning as a summer program coordinator for YMCA Camp Willson in Bellefontaine, Ohio.  Mark began his fulltime career with the Y working as an Outdoor Environmental Educator for Camp U-nah-li-ya in Suring, Wisconsin.  He has held several positions working for the following YMCA’s: YMCA of Central Ohio, YMCA of Green Bay, and the YMCA of Muncie.

Mark’s last position was with Camp Crosley YMCA in North Webster, Indiana where he served as the Associate Executive Director.  He spent over nine years improving the 100 year old facility, creating innovative programs and changing the lives of the thousands of campers that stepped foot on the camp property.

Mark enjoys fly fishing, photography, sports and camping/hiking in the great outdoors.  Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his family. Mark has been married to his wife, Celeste, for 13 remarkable years.  He has 3 children, all girls, Areina, Sun-Ae, and Ellieora.  They are looking forward to making the Greater Riverview Community their home.

Meagan Springer

Program Director

Meagan Springer has been serving as a staff member at YMCA Camp Cristina since 2013. In her time there, she has held multiple roles. Meagan started out as a summer camp counselor and then moved on to high ropes facilitation and swim instruction.

In 2015, Meagan served as the Site Supervisor for Camp Cristina’s Afterschool Program.  She recently began her role as a Program Director at Cristina. Meagan’s various roles and experience at Camp Cristina have led the path to her “Y” to be an active role in Youth Development at the YMCA. To Meagan, Camp Cristina is a place where community becomes family with an everlasting positive influence.

Meagan is in her last semester at the University of South Florida, and will graduate with a degree in Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis in May. In her spare time, Meagan enjoys long distance running, especially on trails, and watching movies and re-runs of her favorite TV show, Friends.
