MEET OUR STAFF
Mark has served the YMCA for 15 years, beginning as a summer program coordinator for YMCA Camp Willson in Bellefontaine, Ohio. Mark began his fulltime career with the Y working as an Outdoor Environmental Educator for Camp U-nah-li-ya in Suring, Wisconsin. He has held several positions working for the following YMCA’s: YMCA of Central Ohio, YMCA of Green Bay, and the YMCA of Muncie.
Mark’s last position was with Camp Crosley YMCA in North Webster, Indiana where he served as the Associate Executive Director. He spent over nine years improving the 100 year old facility, creating innovative programs and changing the lives of the thousands of campers that stepped foot on the camp property.
Mark enjoys fly fishing, photography, sports and camping/hiking in the great outdoors. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his family. Mark has been married to his wife, Celeste, for 13 remarkable years. He has 3 children, all girls, Areina, Sun-Ae, and Ellieora. They are looking forward to making the Greater Riverview Community their home.
Meagan Springer has been serving as a staff member at YMCA Camp Cristina since 2013. In her time there, she has held multiple roles. Meagan started out as a summer camp counselor and then moved on to high ropes facilitation and swim instruction.
In 2015, Meagan served as the Site Supervisor for Camp Cristina’s Afterschool Program. She recently began her role as a Program Director at Cristina. Meagan’s various roles and experience at Camp Cristina have led the path to her “Y” to be an active role in Youth Development at the YMCA. To Meagan, Camp Cristina is a place where community becomes family with an everlasting positive influence.
Meagan is in her last semester at the University of South Florida, and will graduate with a degree in Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis in May. In her spare time, Meagan enjoys long distance running, especially on trails, and watching movies and re-runs of her favorite TV show, Friends.
Welcome Center Director
Kristen Bonnett has been serving as a staff member at YMCA Camp Cristina since the spring of 2015. During that time she has served as the Welcome Center Coordinator. Starting in January Kristen has accepted a full time position as our Welcome Center Director where she will handling all registrations for camp. If you have any questions in regards to signing up for camp she is here to help. You can contact her at anytime.
Kristen’s hometown in Wilmington, North Carolina. She’s been married to her high school sweetheart for 22 years. Kristen has two teenagers that continue to be involved with Camp Cristina in Teen Leader’s Club and Afterschool. Kristen and her family have lived up and down the east coast from North Carolina to New York, back to North Carolina and now Florida.
Kristen loves being referred to as the ‘Camp Mom’. She loves working for Camp Cristina because of the staff and campers that step foot on the property. Kristen also enjoys knowing that Cristina is a new adventure every day.
